SYLAMA and Master Famedji Group (African Music)

Born in a French Italian family, professionally trained dancer and pianist SYLAMA, participated at an early stage in a research program on Berber music and dance.

From there arose her growing interest for black Africa where she will make many research trips in the Central and West part of the continent. Returning from Cote d'Ivoire in 1996, her encounter with the Ivorian singer Robbie Famedji Koto is crucial to her artistic career.

She became the singer and dancer of his band Kolity and his partner in African tales. When Robbie died in 2002, she decided to take up the torch of the band and became the main singer along with Ari, the guitarist and Comorian singer of the band. She is currently leader of the band of which she produced the CD "Africa Unite" released in 2007. Sylama sings and dances with 5 other musicians. Concerts for all audiences.
