Owen’s Friends is a band founded in 2006 in Paris, which plays Celtic music inspired by Ireland, Brittany, Scotland and Central France. The group consists of four or five musicians, depending on the formula, who play violin, accordion, guitar, bodhran, vocals and flutes.
Owen’s Friends released two albums, "Owen’s Moves Ireland..." in 2008 and "From Paris" in 2012. The group also recorded six tracks for the "RFI Instrumental" catalogue in 2008. The band has played more than 400 concerts, in festivals, concert halls, pubs, or at the Stade de France.
Owen’s Friends created in 2013 with the company Slan Irish Dance the show «Not Just Married», which mixes Irish music and tap dancing with 10 artists on stage. The group has also collaborated with artists such as the magician Eric Antoine or the Bedrich Quartet.
Owen’s Friends take you on a hypnotic and wild journey through Ireland, Brittany and the Centre France. Their communicative energy and the diversity of the musicians' careers result in a lively, modern and unifying music.
On stage, the music of Owen’s invites you irresistibly to enter into the dance, a real call to good mood.
